Production of the all-terrain Mercedes-Benz Unimog has moved
from its original home in Gaggenau to the main truck manufacturing
plant in Wörth. This transfer marks the beginning of
a new chapter in the history of the Universal-Motor-Gerät
(universal motorized vehicle) or Unimog. It also marks the
end of 51 years of Unimog production, with total output of
more than 320,000 vehicles, at Gaggenau on the slopes of
Black Forest.
